War of the Roses

A new game is going into closed beta. This game is called War of the Roses.

War of the Roses is an action game currently under development at Fatshark and on schedule for release by Paradox Interactive in Q2 or Q3 2012. The game is set during the Wars of the Roses which ravaged England in the 15th century.

War of the Roses puts the player in control of a single, customizable soldier fighting for either the House of Lancaster or the House of York. The game plays in a third-person viewpoint and contains both single player and multiplayer modes; multiplayer being the main feature.

Smite, the new moba game that has been in beta since May 2012. This game combines the first person view with the tactics required in a standard MOBA game. However this MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game stands out for quite a few reasons. 

• 1.) The characters playable are all deities, messengers to the deities or avatars of a selected pantheon. 
• 2.) All the playable characters are based of off pantheons from around the world. The current pantheons included in the game are: Greek, Norse, Hindu, Chinese and Egyptian.
• 3.) The characters actually resemble the deity, messenger or avatar that they represent. Their skills also reflect on some of their lore or what you would expect from that deity, messenger, or avatar.

The following image is of Artemis. She is the Greek Goddess of the hunt. She is known to be able to dish out a lot of damage very fast and use the nature to her advantage, including summoning her pet Kalydonian Boar. 

For all those new to smite, it is highly recommended that you go check out the Curse Smite wiki. You will be able to find additional information on all the deities, messengers or avatars as well as in game items and more!

Dakotah Leaves 4Nothing Plays Like a Girl

I first wish to start off by apologizing to the community and the team for not keeping the blog updated as much as I should have. With that said and a huge limit put on my time by school and work I am handing the team over to Grackis. Founding 4Nothing Plays Like a Girl as been an honor and an experience. I have met so many talented players and can firmly state that the female community in Leauge of Legends makes up a majority of it. Playing on this team has taught me so much and allowed me to become friends with some of the greatest people I have ever met. I leave now knowing the new roster is strong and will be going places that I could only ever have dreamed of. I wish all the girls and Grackis the best of luck. Thank you to the community for being to supportive of me and of 4Nothing Plays Like a Girl. As well as a thank you to all my team mates, new and former. Official Statement on Scy Playing With The Girl Team For TNP

On the official roster given to the TNP admins Scy was listed as a backup due to the fact that he is now one of the current coaches for team PLaG. On the roster Tina is listed as a main player but had to back out due to college work becoming a burden. The official PLaG roster was made up of the original five PLaG members. However we have under gone changes with a lot of our core members leaving due to real life circumstances. I had planned on announcing the new roster line up when everything had settled down and allowing time for some of the core members to write up statements as to why they were stepping down. I ask the community to please respect the fact that Scy is not playing to "carry" the girls but playing due to scheduling difficulties with the new core members. I felt it better to just allow our sub to play instead of just dropping out due to the fact that some members of the team had taken vacation time from real life jobs in order to be available for this tournament. Thank you for your support and I wish the best of luck to all teams who are precipitating.

Team 4Nothing Plays Like a Girl is recruiting for a full time substitute player

With winter ending and spring coming the core team members will be busy with many upcoming events and unable to practice the full required amount of time as needed. Due to this we thought it best to have a full time substitute join our roster. We will be holding try outs during the week of 4/1. Any interested applicants should apply by sending an e-mail to TeamPlayLikeAGirl@gmail.com. Send us your real first name, in-game name, ELO ratings, what roles you specialize in, and your playtime availability. Do not add us in-game!

Requirements

1. Female players only (sorry guys it's an all female team this would defeat the purpose)
2. 18 years or older only
3. Account must be level 30 with over 300 wins and/or an ELO of 1400 or higher
4. You should be available to play at least 5 times a week for 4 hours a night. (EST people please note we sometimes play until 12am.)

So, unfortunately, without getting onto the desktop I can't get the most recent version of the logo - which has all the girls line work and Riven and Sona's coloring done - but I do have the first screen shot taken.
